Delegation package registration closes April 15
ORLANDO, Fla. (April 11, 2016)– Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) will lead a delegation on anExport Development Trade Mission to Mexicofrom May 23-26. More than 70 Florida small and medium-sized companies from Escambia County to Miami-Dade County are currently registered for the mission. Registration to attend closesApril 15, 2016.
“The Mexican market offers tremendous opportunities for Florida’s international companies,” said Manny Mencia, senior vice president of trade and development at EFI. “The goals of our mission are to promote Florida as an ideal destination for Mexican companies seeking to trade and invest in the United States and to assist a large number of new-to-market Florida small-and-medium enterprises to find clients and partners in Mexico. Last year, exports to Mexico gained more than 20 percent over 2014 numbers, and the nation moved up from sixth‐place to become the third‐largest market for Florida-origin exports.”
The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is the most important feature in the U.S.-Mexico bilateral commercial relationship. Since its inception in 1994, bilateral trade between Mexico and the U.S. has increased more than 500 percent. With negotiations currently underway for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the U.S. and Mexico seek to go beyond NAFTA and strengthen economic ties further.

Those interested in attending the mission can still register under the delegation package. For $650, companies receive admission to all mission events, airport transfers in country when traveling on official mission flights and ground transportation to all mission events.
The deadline to register for the delegation package is April 15.
