Matthew Development Elevates Economic Growth Throughout the Space Coast

Bon Jovi once, twice, maybe a thousand times sang, “Who says you can’t go home?” For Matt Williams, these lyrics rang true in 2014 when he moved back to his hometown of Melbourne, Florida to pursue his entrepreneurial dream.

Growing up with a passion for real estate, it was always Matt’s goal to find, develop and own properties. After graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Business Degree in Economics and a major in Real Estate, Matt started his career working for a large development firm out of Arlington, Virginia. Matt was in the Tampa office.

“These talented colleagues gave me the foundation and confidence to take a leap of faith and join the ownership team at Matthew Development,” said Williams.

“From a macro viewpoint, I am attracted to real estate development because over 1,000 people move to Florida every day,” said Williams. “Companies expanding or relocating feed Matthew Development. Florida is a great place to be right now.”

Matthew Development is a full-service real estate investment firm which focuses on creating value through high-end commercial and residential development opportunities throughout the Southeast. At Matthew Development, Matt shares ownership privileges with three partners – Mike Renfro, Danny Renfro and Ernie Euler. The team is proud of its high-quality and well-located retail, office and boutique developments throughout Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee. With expertise in all phases of land development, Matthew Development manages every step, from acquisition of land, design and construction, to the sale or management of the income-producing property.

“We pride ourselves on integrity, trust and building lifelong relationships throughout every phase of our business,” said Williams.

The team is deeply rooted in Brevard County. Ernie and Mike founded Matthew Development in 2000. Mike and Danny are a father-son duo. Danny and Matt attended high school together. For Matt, it was important to settle down in the area he grew up where the quality of life and school system are high priorities.

“I would not change anything about my time in Philadelphia or Tampa, but I always had a desire to raise a family here on the Space Coast,” said Williams.

His family can take advantage of the year-round, weather- friendly and family-oriented activities, a favorite being the beach. Danny, Matt and his wife, Christie, graduated from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy which prepared each for future success.

“Due to our education, we felt extremely equipped to follow our passions and launch our career paths,” said Williams. “We look forward to our daughter and future children attending our alma mater.”

In addition to hometown roots, quality of life and school systems, Matthew Development conducts business on the Space Coast because of population growth, job growth, talent pools and technological advancements.

“From a macro viewpoint, I am attracted to real estate development because over 1,000 people move to Florida every day,” said Williams. “Companies expanding or relocating feed Matthew Development. Florida is a great place to be right now.”

This past year, Danny and Matt recruited and helped usher in the first Wawa, a national gas station and convenience store, elevating the economic development of the Space Coast. Now, a second station has begun vertical construction. Additionally, Matthew Development has purchased land to build a third and fourth Wawa in Brevard County.

“Developing a mutually beneficial relationship with first class tenants like Wawa or Publix has given Matthew Development the opportunity to grow and consider other development opportunities in our community and throughout the state,” said Williams. “We are a nimble company. When needed, we can quickly change paths to ensure we are heading in a profitable direction for us and our clients.”

《马太福音》开发团队贝尔ieves Florida is on the cutting edge of technological advancements, bringing world-class companies to the Space Coast. Companies such as NASA, SpaceX, Harris Corporation, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin are well-established and profitable in Brevard County. These Fortune 500 companies and those relocating to the region bring new economic growth, infrastructure and talent pools. This warrants Matthew Development immense commercial and residential development opportunities.

From childhood dreams to adult realities; Matt, Danny, Mike and Ernie are revitalizing, regenerating and rejuvenating the Space Coast with each development.
